Android Under Attack: Malware Levels for Google's OS Rise Threefold in Q2 2012

The amount of malware targeting Google's Android platform has almost trebled in the last three months, according to figures from security experts Kaspersky Lab, whose Q2 report on IT threats was published this week. The report showed that almost 15,000 new malicious programs affecting Android phones were added to Kaspersky’s threat database.
